Biographical/Historical Note
Lynette Boney Wrenn was born in 1928. She began teaching in 1949 at a high school in Hamlet, North Carolina where she stayed until 1951. in 1952, she received an MA from Harvard University. She began teaching at what is now Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee in 1958. In 1983, she received her PhD from Memphis State University. She has written quite a few works such as Cinderella of the New South: A History of the Cottonseed Industry, 1855-1955.
