Abstract

This collection houses financial records, meeting records, and manuscripts documenting the American Society of Photobiology between 1955 and 1993.

Biographical/Historical Note

Dr. Kendric C. Smith founded the American Society of Photobiology in 1972. The ASP promotes research in photobiology, integration of different photobiology disciplines, and dissemination of photobiology knowledge. It also provides information on the photobiological aspects of national and international issues.

Arrangement

This collection consists of six boxes divided into six series:

  1. Series I: Photobiology Subgroups
  2. Series II: U. S. National Committee and Photobiology (USNC/P)
  3. Series III: General Information of The American Society of Photobiology
  4. Series IV: The American Society of Photobiology
  5. Series V: International Symposium
  6. Series VI: Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology
