Abstract

This collection consists of a newsletter titled Toucan Topics, which documents events in the world abroad and on the Allied Forces' military base in the British colony of Guiana.

Biographical/Historical Note

This collection contains a typewritten newsletter given to soldiers and civilians stationed at the Allied Forces' military base in British Guiana. British Guiana, now the independent South American nation of Guyana, was a stopping point for American military personnel on their way back to the United States for reassignment.
