Biographical/Historical Note
James A. Boyd was born in January of 1846 in Tennessee. He married Mary A. Griffith on May 14, 1892 in Washington County, Tennessee. He operated a retail store selling stoves and tinware on Johnson City's Main Street in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He died between 1920 and 1930, probably in Washington County, Tennessee.
