Biographical/Historical Note

Great Signal Rock, Summit of Lookout Mt. Chattanooga,TN stereoview card was made by Benjamin West Kilburn in the 1870s. Kilburn was born on December 10, 1827, in Littleton, New Hampshire. In 1865, he started a company in New Hampshire that produced stereophotographic views, many of them from photographs he took personally. He died in 1909 in Littleton, New Hampshire.
