Keene Family Papers
This collection consists of materials documenting the Keene family of Westmoreland, Tennessee from 1929 to 1951. It is composed primarily of correspondence addressed to Sam and Minnie Keene from various family members. Other materials include receipts for farm supplies, electric bills, New Deal-era farming information, notes, music, and a 1936 presidential election ballot. These materials were originally housed in a satchel, which is preserved in this collection.
