Biographical/Historical Note
James F. Fletcher enlisted in Company C of the 45th Tennessee Infantry Regiment (CSA) on November 4, 1862. He deserted on January 19, 1865 and took his Oath of Allegiance in Nashville, Tennessee on February 1 of the same year. After his discharge, Fletcher returned to his home in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
