Biographical/Historical Note
Samuel Pliny Hudson was born to Lunsford and Amelia (Parks) Hudson in Greeneville, South Carolina on April 26, 1811. He married Keziah (also spelled Kessiah and Kezziah) Brockman on June 5, 1844 and the couple had six known children: Fannie, Adelia, James, Harriet, Emma, and Samuel. The family moved to Jacksonville (Calhoun County), Alabama sometime before 1850 where Samuel Hudson worked as a merchant. He died in August of 1863.
