Dwight H. Stuckey Collection
This collection consists primarily of correspondence between Dwight H. Stuckey and World War II fighter aces John Alden Tilley, Daniel J. Zoerb, George Carpenter, and Gil Niceley. In these letters, the pilots recount their memories of their military service. Also included are signed biographical sketches of pilots Major General Ralph Gordon Taylor, Major Robert W. Moore, and Marion Franklin Kirby.

Biographical/Historical Note
Dwight Herbert Stuckey was born June 20, 1937, to Dwight and LaRae Stuckey in Sumter, South Carolina. Stuckey served with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a military historian, freelance writer, and teacher. He died January 23, 2012, and is buried in Charleston County, South Carolina.
