Biographical / Historical
The printing and binding firm of S. B. Newman & Co. was established on Gay Street in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1877. Its building was destroyed during the Million Dollar Fire of 1897 but the company rebuilt at 617 Gay Street and prospered during the early 20th century. After serving the city for 89 years, the firm went out of business in 1967.
