Biographical / Historical
First published in 1843 by André Borel d’Hauterive, the annual directory or genealogical yearbook Annuaire de la Noblesse de France listed personal, biographical, genealogical, and heraldic information about the nobility of France. D’Hauterive (born André-François-Joseph Borel, 1812-1896) was an archivist-paleographer who worked with the Ministry of Education, the Sainte-Geneviève Library, and the Bibliotèque nationale.
