Biographical/Historical Note

Martha J. Davis was born 1837 in Tennessee and died between 1876 and 1878 in Lawrence County, Tennessee.

William G. Brownlow (1805-1877) was the 17th Governor of Tennessee, serving 1865-1869. He also was a United States Senator for Tennessee from 1869-1875.
