Biographical / Historical

John Campbell was born in 1765 in Augusta County, Virginia. By 1796, he had married Sarah (Sally) Taylor, and they were residing in Washington County, Tennessee. Campbell was supposedly part of a trio who founded Leesburg, which is located about four miles away from Jonesboro.
