This collection contains a photocopy of William J. McCoy Jr.'s article "Recollections of an Early Fish Trap on the Holston River," which provides an account of a family vacation in 1915 to lower Holston River in Knox County, Tennessee, particularly detailing a fish trap located on the river at that time. William J. McCoy Jr. was born October 8, 1906. He was married to Helen Chandler McCoy (1911-1995). He died January 26, 1995 and is buried in Knox County, Tennessee.
