Biographical / Historical
Leonard Stansfield Sutcliffe was a well-known horse photographer based out of Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Birkenhead, England, on April 15, 1880, he studied at Yorkshire. He moved to North America in 1907, eventually settling in Kentucky. Sutcliffe died June 30, 1937 and is buried in Fayette County, Kentucky.
