Biographical / Historical
The Hooper Penn Monument is dedicated to two of the three North Carolinian signers of the Declaration of Independence: John Penn (1740-1788) and William Hooper (1742-1790). It was built in 1894 and a bronze tablet was added in 1897. The monument is located in Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Guilford County, North Carolina.
