Biographical / Historical
Lloyd Branson was born in Union County in 1863. He was a noted artist, making portraits of well-to-do east Tennesseans. In 1880 he founded McCrary & Branson, a company he owned with photographer Frank McCrary. The company supplied photography and other artistic services like portrait painting, mostly done by Branson. The company was located on Gay Street in Knoxville, TN. There is no biographical information available for the three subjects of the photographs.
