Biographical / Historical
The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, usually referred to as just the Grange, is an American agricultural organization dedicated to promoting the well-being of communities in agriculture. It was founded in 1867 by Oliver Kelley on behalf of President Andrew Johnson. The Grange remained an active political force for decades, including the 1880s when the Morristown, Tennessee, chapter was active.
