Abstract
This collection consists of four books. Three are physics textbooks and one Studienbuch (record of classes taken) shows Herbert L. Mette's work at the Universität Göttingen from 1947 to 1951.
Biographical/Historical Note
Herbert L. Mette (October 26, 1925-October 11, 2009) was born in Kassel, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1950. He lived in Bradley Beach and Neptune, New Jersey before moving to Brielle, New Jersey in 1965. Mette was a physicist and worked at the Hexagon (today known as the Myer Center) at the U.S. Army Electronics Command, Integrated Electronics Division, at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey for many years before retiring. Mette was predeceased by his wife Inge in 2005 and is survived by his daughter, Vera Mefford.
