This 117-page book is filled with woodblock illustrations and Japanese calligraphy. Most pages have approximately 70% text but there are several two-page illustrations at the back of the book depicting the process of making fabric. Other illustrations feature a joust, a procession, a tea ceremony, dancing, and many activities of daily life. There are also figures that resemble a Mancala game board and origami folds. The book's cover is missing, but most of the pages are in very good shape.

Biographical/Historical Note

The illustrations in this book resemble those made by Haronohi and Sukenobu, both of whom were print makers in 18th century Japan. An additional note suggests that this book may be the work of Joyo (Chiyeram) Mokuroku.
