Abstract
This collection contains scrapbooks and subject files documenting Ralph Frost's work at the University of Tennessee.
Biographical/Historical Note
Ralph Walter Frost was born on January 26, 1900 in Indiana. He completed his higher education at the University of Tennessee, graduating with his BA in 1924 and MA in 1925. After graduation, he worked as a junior high school principal in Blount County before returning to UT in 1926 to work as Assistant Secretary of the YMCA under Vic Davis. He was promoted to general secretary in 1928, and became the General Secretary of the Christian Associations after the merger of the YMCA and YWCA in 1934. He retired from this position in 1970, and died on January 2, 1986 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
