Biographical/Historical Note
Mary E. Kingsford was born circa 1810 in England. She served as the principal of a female academy.
The M.E. Kingsford Seminary was limited to 20 boarding students and 20 day students. Two of its graduates, Mary Norgott Bryan and Eliza Speiden Childs, have mentioned it in their memoirs.
