This collection is comprised of several souvenirs from Horace Simpson's travels while in the service. Items include travel guides from various countries and international currencies from Simpson's time in the Financial Division of the U. S Army in England and France.

Abstract

This collection is comprised of several souvenirs from Horace Simpson's travels while in the service, including items from Switzerland, England, and France.

Biographical/Historical Note

Horace Simpson Jr. was born on April 5, 1918, in Alexandrea, Tennessee. Simpson joined the service as a Rifle Marksmen on September 23, 1942. He entered active service October 7, 1942. Simpson received an honorable discharge on December 23, 1945. He passed away on August 1, 1987.
