Abstract

This collection contains material from World War II: A Germany Basic Handbook and a weekly digest of civil affairs in occupied territories.

This series of books discusses the administrative systems, political organization, economic features, and national characteristics, along with historical information about each of the designated countries. Supplementary zone handbooks were also published in order to give more specific information on smaller areas within a given country. The handbooks were meant to be used only within a specific time period and were marked confidential.
