George B. McDonald Papers
The George B. McDonald papers consists of photographs of the gun crew on the Alfred J. Lyon, the reunion of the 6th Aircraft Repair Unit, military documents photocopies of the separation record, honorable discharge papers, a booklet on the history of the 6th Aircraft Unit, and press clippings concerning war recollections and missions.

Biographical/Historical Note
George B. Mcdonald was born November 9, 1921. McDonald enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces on February 3, 1942, as Private and within a few months moved the ranks to Corporal Supply clerk and Gunner, Antiaircraft. He died June 28, 2010.
