This collection contains a final draft and what appears to be a rough draft of a Senior Banquet speech, the latter of which has annotations and pen markings. The speech was written and given by Kelsey Keny, one of nine honors students who received the Torchbearer Award in 2015, the highest honor a student can receive at UT.

Abstract

This collection contains a speech made at the 2015 Senior Banquet by one of the nine recipients of the Torchbearer Award, Kelsey Keny. The speech was a sentimental reflection Keny makes on her time as an undergraduate at the University of Tennessee.

Biographical/Historical Note

Kelsey Keny was a 2015 UT graduate from Lewisberg, Tennessee with a degree in Journalism and Electronic Media. She was also the Student Government Association's President, part of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and served as a reporter on the Volunteer Channel. She was one of nine seniors honored with the Torchbearer Award in 2015, the most prestigious honor a student at UT can receive.
