Southeast University participates in the Confucius Institute, a division of UTK's international program for exchange students between Knoxville, USA and Nanjing, China. The plate is a fragile ceramic with an image of one of Southeast University's halls. It comes complete with a folding wooden stand.
Biographical/Historical Note
Southeast University is an establishment located in Nanjing, China, part of the Jiangsu Province. It started in 1902 and gained status as an independent university in 1958. It is currently under the administration of Dr. Zhang Guangjun and is a partner with the University of Tennessee through the Confucius Institute, a non-profit student exchange program.
