Biographical/Historical Note

David L. Dungan was a Distinguished Professor of the Humanities and Emeritus Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He taught at the university from 1967 to 2002. He was born on May 10, 1936 in New Haven, Connecticut but grew up in Shanghai, China and Berea, Kentucky. He died in November 2008.
