This collection includes correspondence, manuscripts, and other documents on Wendell Ralph Lufkin's World War II experience with the US Army in the European theatre.

Series I: Correspondence includes several letters from Ralph to his family, especially his mother. Also included are several copies of V-Mail and a Mother's Day card.

Series II: Manuscripts by Lufkin includes four different personal recordings of Lufkin's war experience, particularly from his time in France and Belgium.

Series III: Research Documents from Mark Howard includes material from the US Army Military History Institute, two bibliographies, a proposal for an American Battle Monument.

Series IV: Other Materials includes an address by Chaplain Virgil A. Moore, a Thanksgiving Day Booklet, a copy of an Army Exchange Ration Card, and other photocopied materials, including photographs.
