Abstract
This collection houses research and manuscripts that Ethel Freytag and Glena Kreis Ott used to write A History of Morgan County, Tennessee.
Biographical/Historical Note
Ethel Freytag was born on September 24, 1911. A lifelong resident of Morgan County, she dedicated herself to studying and preserving its history. Her efforts culminated in A History of Morgan County, Tennessee (1971), which she co-wrote with Glena Kreis Ott. Freytag died on February 15, 2005 in Wartburg, Tennessee.
Glena Deaderick Kreis Ott was born December 17, 1892. Ott was a teacher and county court clerk as well as editor and correspondent for the Morgan County Press. Ott died September 10, 1977 in Morgan County.
