Abstract
This collection features a copy of Elmore Allen Green's recollections of his time in the US Air Force serving in the European theater during World War II.
Biographical/Historical Note
Elmore Allen Green was born in Tennessee on September 21, 1916. During the first years of the World War II, Allen worked with Lockheed aircraft company building warplanes before he was drafted into the Air Force. He served for a time in Berlin, Germany, working at the Templehof Air Base in the 473rd Air Service Group. He was discharged on July 15, 1946 and returned to his wife and family in Gallatin, TN.
