Abstract

This collection features Claus Mann's brief memoir on his experience in the 35th Field Hospital serving on the North African front during World War II.

Biographical/Historical Note

Claus Mann was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age of 18 in 1942. After training at Camp Upton on Long Island during February 1943, Mann was assigned to the 35th Field Hospital. His unit was sent to the North African front.
