Abstract

This collection features 18 photographs and one postcard depicting various activities of the 74th General Hospital during World War II.

Biographical/Historical Note

During World War II, the U.S. Army Medical Corps established the 74th General Hospital on the grounds of the Tyntesfield Estate in Wraxall, North Somerset, England. For much of the war, it was the largest U.S. Army hospital in Europe.
