Biographical/Historical Note
Robert G. Osborne served during World War II in the European theater, spending time stationed in Italy and North Africa. Upon enlisting, Osborne was trained as a naval gunfire liaison officer. Osborne was awarded the Legion of Merit Medal for his service during the war.
