Biographical/Historical Note
Bob Rush founded Rush's Music Store in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1958. From the outset of the business, Rush focused on programs for school bands and worked to create affordable instrument rentals for students in addition to providing instrument repair services. Rush passed away from lung cancer in 1977, and his wife, Willene Rush, took over the business. Rush's Music Store remains in business in Knoxville.
