Biographical/Historical Note
Buford Orton Harper was born September 24, 1916 to Clarence and Nora Bell Harper. Harper married Florine Watson in 1941. Harper served in the U.S. Army during World War II as part of the 375th Field Artillery Battalion in the European Theater of Operations. Harper died June 26, 2001 and is buried in Thomaston, Georgia.
