Biographical/Historical Note
Andrew J. Herndon was in Company G of the 43rd Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry. This regiment was from Jackson County, Georgia. He was 5th Sergeant by March 10, 1862. He was captured and paroled in Athens, Georgia, on May 8, 1865.
