Biographical/Historical Note
Having been in the movie industry for a few years prior, Warner Brothers Studio was officially founded on April 4, 1923. Their first full length picture titled "My Four Years in Germany" was actually produced in 1918. A few years later in 1927, they released "The Jazz Singer', the first talking picture of its time. The studio had contracted some of the most famous actors which included Bette Daivs and Humphrey Bogart. The 1930s was begininng of their cartoon adventures with the Looney Tunes. In 1the 1940s, they won their second best picture award for "Casablanca". In the 1950s, they created three movies with actor James Dean. They also began their adventure in television with the creation of "Cheyenne". Over the next few decades, they continued to create hit T.V. shows and movies such as "My Fair Lady, "The Exorcist", "Full House", "Friends", and many others. Warner Brothers continues to be successful as they had their best year in 2018 with over 5.57 billion in worldwide receipts.
