Biographical/Historical Note
Isabella M. White was born to George McNutt and Sophia Moody (Park) White in Tennessee on July 30, 1833. She earned a Mistress of Polite Literature Degree at the East Tennessee Female Institute in 1850. Isabella White died on March 14, 1920 and is buried in Knoxville's Old Gray Cemetery.
