Biographical / Historical
Jesse Snodgrass was born on June 7, 1841, in New Concord, Ohio. Snodgrass served the Union Army as an assisstant surgeon in the American Civil War under the 23rd Army Corps, 3rd Division, 1st Brigade, 8th Tennessee Volunteer Regiment. He enlisted on August 8, 1863, and was mustered out on June 30, 1865. Snodgrass returned to Ohio after the war and began practicing medicine in Kenton. Snodgrass died in Kenton on December 8, 1917.
