Biographical / Historical
Jeanne Alice Barkley was born in White Pine, Tennessee, on October 3, 1918 to Hubert and Blanche Joella McCubbins Barkley. Her siblings included H.D., Marvin, and Elizabeth Barkley. After attending Knoxville Business College and the University of Tennessee, Jeanne worked at Lawson McGhee Library and then with the Alumni Affairs office at UT. She died July 31, 2007.
