Biographical / Historical

Roy August Miller Jr. was born November 27, 1911 in Chicago, Illinois to Roy and Elizabeth Miller. He joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and served in the European Theater during World War II with the 584th Signal Depot Company. He was discharged in 1946. Miller went on to continue his career as a tax agent in the railroad industry. He was married twice, first to Louise (divorced 1950) and later to Gloria Sheppard. Miller died September 22, 1977, and is buried in DuPage County, Illinois.
