This collection of material documents the World War II military service of Aubrey Roberson who worked in communications at Harlingen Army Air Field (HAAR) throughout the war. Included in the collection are documents such packing slips, freight bills, and other receipts; two publications from Harlingen Army Air Field: a 1945 telephone directory and a yearbook for the Army Air Forces; and photographs of communications equipment at HAAR including various types of mobile radios and headphones.

Biographical / Historical

Aubrey M. Roberson was born March 28, 1907 in Florida. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed at Harlingen Army Air Field. He and Camille Denson Roberson (1905-1990) married in 1926. Roberson died in December 1991 and is buried in Knox County, Tennessee.
