Biographical / Historical
Place Vendôme is a square in the 1st arrondissement in Paris, France. It was established in 1698 as a monument to the armies of Louis XIV with architecture by Jules Hardouin-Mansart and contains a column at the center of the square originally erected by Napolean I.
