A single DVD containing an interview with Benny Powell, a World War II veteran who served in the Army Air Corps, on his life and experiences while serving in the military.

Biographical / Historical

Bennington Steele "Benny" Powell was born January 1, 1918 to Frank and Mary Steele Powell in Kentucky. He married Betty Marcelle Householder. He died August 27, 1992, and is buried in Boyle County, Kentucky.

Powell served with the Army Air Corps during World War II in the European and North African theaters of war. While in France, he was wounded and spent 16 days in a prisoner of war camp. Powell held a Purple Heart and Bronze Stars for his military service.
