This collection documents Deward Grissom's military service in World War II, particularly his time in England. Biographical / Historical

Deward Kizer Grissom was born on December 31, 1916, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Grissom graduated from University of Tennessee with a BS degree in Science Education and a Master's Degree in Education. During World War II, Grissom served as a Medical Lab Technician for the 67th General Hospital in England. He died on December 1, 2007, and is buried in Henderson County.
