Biographical / Historical
James V. DeMartino was born in Italy on July 12, 1897. He attended Franklin & Marshall College from 1922 to 1925. DeMartino served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He received a Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in connection with military operations on Bougainville. He was married to Dorothy June Green DeMartino (1904-2004). DeMartino died on November 26, 1987, and is buried in Nashville National Cemetery, Tennessee.
