Fox Family Papers
This collection includes the papers of a multitude of Fox family members, including Andrew Fox Sr. and his sons Andrew, Ezekiel, Henry, and Isaac. Also included are the papers of an additional son, James A. Fox; his son, James A. Fox Jr.; and grandson, James S. Fox. The majority of these papers are comprised of correspondence, receipts, property deeds, and grants. Also included is a collection of family photographs.

Biographical/Historical Note
The Fox family papers are a collection of papers from an early East Tennessee family. The father, Andrew Fox Sr., came to America from England. He and his wife, Sarah, first settled in Virginia but moved to Tennessee when Andrew received a 300 acre land grant just south of Chuckey in Greene County in 1791. Andrew and Sarah had twelve children. Andrew Fox died in 1820.
