Benjamin D. Raskopf Papers
This collection houses primarily books, pamphlets, charts, correspondence, and drafts of chapters documenting Raskopf's The Agricultural History of Tennessee, which he intended to cover every aspect of the history of farm life from crops to churches. The collection also houses Raskopf's Rural Research Series, which he wrote through the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at the University of Tennessee.

Biographical/Historical Note
Benjamin D. Raskopf was born on June 10, 1907 in Bazine, Kansas. He earned a BS degree in Agricultural Education and a MS in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology. He began teaching at the University of Tennessee in 1937, where he remained for 51 years. Raskopf died on October 6, 1988 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
