This collection conains three publication from the Fifteenth Air Force, wich was established in 1943 as part of the United States Army Air Forces in World War II, European Theater. These three publications were kept by veteran Ben Franklin. The first publication documents the first 40 years of Fifteenth Air force 1943-1983, the second and third publications are Fifteenth Air Force “Sorties” from 1989.

This collection contains Gus W. Dyer’s memoirs, essays, diary entries, and correspondence from his time serving in World War II. Most of the correspondence is between Dyer and his mother during his deployments to the Pacific Theater (Philippines, Australia, Japan, and more) between 1942 and 1945. The later correspondence, written in 1985, are memoirs of Dyer’s time in the war. Also included is an oral history of prisoner of war Gunner Roberts as told to Dyer.
